Waxoil

I decided to go with black wax oil, as you can see from the photo's I've given the underside a good coating.

Oops a hub mistake!

Some of you may have noticed that I had put the splash guards on the wrong way round. D'oh!


Here is a picture with splash guard the right way round.

I have also added a photo of my brand new sub frame. I've given it a good coat of engine enamel.

Front carriers

Overhauled my front hubs and carriers this weekend, cleaned them up, fitted new bearings and splash guards then gave them a splash of paint. As good as new!

Part 1 - Restoration

I started with a stripped bodyshell:

I had to grind any rust spots, plate and weld holes or rot, rust treat and seal as required:

  


And finally, I painted the underside ready for clear bodywax:
